teeth and hitting

So on saturday Dominick's 9 month birthday my mom and I noticed that Dom had his 5th tooth come thru and his 6th tooth has just about come through. They arent coming through in the order the first 4 came in which i guess is wierd because my mom said normally they come in in the order they started. He is getting so good at eating the baby snacks, about a month ago we tried letting him eat the snacks but i panicked when he started gagging and told John that he wasnt going to be eating them again for a long time. Well that long time only lasted about 3 weeks when i realized that Dom has to start getting used to chewing so he can eat the foods he is supposed to eat. So we started doing 1 or 2 of the snacks a day until he started getting used to them and now he just sits in his highchair and eats them. Last night he figured out how to fit his hand into the container and take out a snack and than put it in his mouth! Up until than he would just open his mouth and wait for us to put them in his mouth. He's growing up day by day right in front of my eyes.

As for his hitting he recently started getting into this hitting stage. He thinks its funny to smack people in the face and laughing. the look on his face is too funny when he does it but were trying to teach him not to hit and he is very quickly learning the word NO! However, just because we say NO all of the time to him it doesnt mean that he listens lol. He looks at us with this face when we tell him no than he laughs and continues doing what he was doing. This week he did start fake crying when we say no. he lays on the floor and puts his head to the ground and tries to start crying but he doesnt realize we are onto him and there are no tears so we know he is being fake. We are definately going to have our hands full with this little guy.

football sundays

Well, yesterday was my first sunday off in a long time and i was very happy to be able to watch football all day with John and Dominick. However, as happy as i was it was like i wasnt even there! They apparently have their own sunday tradition where they sit and watch football and see how Johns fantasy teams are doing. John explains to Dom what is going on either on the tv or on the computer and Dom actually sits there and listens when John says something that isnt good Dom smacks his hand down on his tubs and when John says something good about football Dom claps. Its so funny! However, sometimes Dom claps or smacks the tubs at the wrong time and John will say "no buddy thats not what your supposed to do" than John will show Dom what his reaction is supposed to be and Dom will do it! I cant believe this actually goes on when I'm not here. I didnt even realize that John made Dom that big of a part in his football days.

In the morning they both get in their football jerseys and watch espn until kickoff than they start watching football every now and than Dom will throw his hands up and John will yell "touchdown! Yay!" and Dom gets excited and claps. So now instead of us saying "so big" when he puts his hands up we decided to yell touchdown! to get him more into the sport lol. What shocks me the most is Dom actually sits there and watches any kind of sport that is on tv even golf! He doesnt watch cartoons but when sports are on he watches them.
