why isnt he sleeping EVER!

ok so as you may know Dominick has NOT slept through the night in about 2 weeks at first we thought it was because of his 2 teeth coming in at the same time, but now im starting to think otherwise. He hasnt been going to bed ontime and has been waking up 3 to 4 times a night. like last night he refused to go to bed until midnight and woke up at 2:30, 4:00 and again at 6:00. now obviously i wont give him nyquil but is it wrong to want to just to get more than 4 hours sleep in one night. I am beginning to not be able to function during the day and having to work full time and this its just not getting any easier. If there is any suggestions (CORINNE!) please help me! Im still a rokkie at this and basically have no clue what to do! Im prying that it is just his teeth but something is telling me that he is like me when i was a baby and had my days and nights mixed up.

  1. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. It's a phase. That is what I repeat in my head over and over to help me get through......we are actually going through one right now....My girls are just up for about an hour before the sun rises...and I am not looking forward to daylight savings.....
My thoughts are it may be his one year old molars...Charlotte got hers around 10 months. ALSO, try to be super strick with him getting his day naps... The more they sleep, the more they will sleep (although the opposite seems to make more sense). IF my girls go to bed late, they wake up early! Happens every time! SO he should be taking a first nap within 2 hours of his morning waking. And then his second nap should be after lunch (about 2.5 hours after waking from his am nap) and his bedtime should be early (between 6:45-7:15)...I once heard, kids don't fight sleep. But overtired kids, DO. Once again....doesn't make much sense.

I will be thinking of you (at 5:45 tmr morning when both of the girls on dragging me out of bed;)

  2. i do keep telling myself its just a phase and mayeb it is his molars coming in he does chew on his fingers a lot and they are always towards the back of his mouth. Now he does take a naps during the day about 2.5 hours apart but as for him going to sleep for the night around 7:15 he doesnt even eat his ceral until 8:00 and than goes to bed around 9:00 normally. I cant see him going to bed that early and actually sleeping through the night. How did you get your girls to go to bed that early for the night
